the age of innocence

By far, my favorite thing about having two toddlers is seeing them learn--in real-time---each in their own way. It really IS like watching two little sponges soak in water.  They are so receptive and have no preconceptions; they simply embrace whats around them.  Oh, to see the world through these eyes...

  1. Oh the squiggles of youth .... love all those times when my kids were little and they put so much effort into what looked like a squiggle to me .... but to them it was some magnificent masterpiece. Just lovely.

  2. Little boy squiggles are the best. As long as they're on paper and not walls. For some transitory fun, plop them in front of an oilcloth-covered table and put a big blob of shaving cream in front of each. Mess abounds, but their eyes when they get to know the weird squishy texture is fun!
