These were some quickies I did on my way home from lunch in the car (I wasn't driving). My goal was just to capture the essence of things I saw along High Point Road.
Until this morning I had never thought about Lowes being a great place to draw people. Turns out its more than just a store for home improvement! Now that I've gotten in the habit of lugging my sketchbook everywhere I am finding tons of new spots. I've got to go back when I have more time.

many thanks for your comment! lovely sketches here (like your dog especially!) yep, me too, I've started to carry a sketchbook everywhere, I think so many blogging and sharing their work have inspired me, it's wonderfully contagious!
Interesting idea! It is possible to be inspired in the most mundane of places - if you have the eye and the passion.
