Yesterday I spent a few minutes trying to capture the essence of two little boys I babysit. It is difficult because they move so often. At least in life drawing classes they give you 30 seconds to draw a gesture...I'm lucky to get 10 seconds with these little guys! Anyway, I had planned on not sharing this attempt until I saw that Illustration Friday's topic for the week is "play." In a way I guess this sketch really hits on play as it is all about movement.

Suzanne, these are great sketches and the fact that you have so many of them in various poses speaks of the boys' constant movement. I sketched my own kids when they were little and I cherish those sketches now that they are bigger. You have a great blog. I love the quality of your lines.
