It's funny, when I got home tonight I thought I didn't have anything to post...just a few scribbles. But, I added a little watercolor and voila!, I ended up with some little vignettes I'm pretty proud of. Funny how that works.
Actually Heather these are on the cheap thin pages of my sketchbook. I try to paint rather "dryly" with the watercolor, but the pages still buckle. Luckily I'm able to edit the wrinkles out in photoshop.
Adam- If you haven't tried them before, I strongly suggest using watercolors. I think they are really fun...especialy if you aren't too concerned that the finished product be "perfect."
I agree, very nice, no matter what side thay present people are always interesting to see and draw, just these small sketches and you still get a sense of their character
These sketches are just fab! I love them, they colour you added must have brought them alive. I love the colour you used on the middle one - it is just perfect. I think my favourite is the bottom one, brilliant. I wish I could do this...
Thanks so much for your comments! To answer Felicity's question...these are indeed watercolor. I think the color appears so vivid for two reasons. 1) Because I was painting on bond paper

This is great! Do you use water color paper to do your scribbles?
lovely little pictures, well done. you have a very good touch with the watercolours, which they say are very difficult to work with!

They are all super but I love the last one! Is that watercolour you have used? Looks so strong, almost like a marker. I really like the effect.
