creative cleanup

Today I decided to take Ronell Van Wyck's advice and draw some items from my bathroom to get myself out of the drawing rut I've been in lately. And you know what, it's helping. So often its just a matter of getting started, or as Lynne says, "showing up at the page," and Ronell gave me an assignment to do just that. Thank you!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. It reminds me of one of the first drawings of yours that I saw; the group of similar items (body lotions). I was blown away by that and it was one of the drawings that really got me excited about drawing again; it looked like fun as does this one. I've loved your work ever since. Brilliant stuff.

Glad to see you're over the low-confidence spell and back to drawing. Last night I dreamt I was in the hospital and all I wanted was for someone to bring me my toothbrush and toothpaste....and then you draw them! I was so happy to wake up and brush my teeth this morning. Little things we take for granted, but so nice to have.

This is great Suzanne!I love your toothpaste, you did a great job on the tube! Not to mention the toothbrush and the little bottle and the floss. You did wonderful work here with lovely linework, hatching and perspective, to add to Judi's comment...I'm glad you did this! Slowly but surely, those creative juices will flow freely again.
Congratualtions! See you soon again
