This is one of those drawings that color helped tremendously. I didn't like the line drawing at all, but once I added marker, things began to come to life. Normally I test the marker colors first on a separate sheet of paper, but I didn't in this case. This, in turn, led to really bright pink skin! I can justify it based on the sunburn I got over the weekend; perhaps my models did the same thing :)

Suzanne - i really love the color on this page. It's the first thing i've seen that made me think I'd want to try markers. Well, the first since I was a kid, and my friend's dad, who was a professional artist, had gobs and gobs of markers in his studio. Hmmn ... a trip to the art-supplies store sounds good, doesn't it? By the way, I like the pink skin. I like the vibrance of the whole thing.
the pink skin didn't strike me at all. This is a great colorful sketch.
the colours really make this come to life, and the markers are very nice - i'm scared of them myself - they make a world of difference.
This is such a great drawing. Some sketches/drawings, just ask for color and some are wonderful just as drawings and I think that is what is makes great art...really looking at your own work and being sensitive to it.

Very cool. I love her pose.
Love the energetic color. Didn't read the skin as 'too pink.' perhaps a sign that my calibration needs tweaking.
