If I have a choice of where to sit in a room, I'll always choose the back. Why? Only because it is the best place to draw.
As a result of this seating situation, I'd estimate that about 50% of the sketches in my sketchbook are of the backs of peoples' heads. Sometimes I draw what they are looking at, other times simply heads.

Just so wildly impressed I can't even tell you!
Boy do i relate to your choice of seating -- for exactly that reason!
I like seeing them in a series like this.
Hehe, that guy in the bottom picture looks like he's watching you draw him. Was he? Great sketches!
Heh! I do the same thing. It's not too bad sketching from the extreem sides, either. Sitting in front gives you a closeup of the speaker, etc. to sketch. All kinds of options! Excellent, bringing up your reasons for sitting where you do, Suzanne!
Hey Suzanne!
I always love to look at your blog. You always inspire me to draw in my sketchbook!
Drawing the bike upside down was actually easier for me. I guess since the bike was upside down I looked at the design a whole different way than just knowing what a bike looked like in a normal position!
Love the last one especially!
Great sketches!
