This is one of those instances where I know what I've drawn, but I'm not sure if it's that apparent to you, the viewer. I tried to maintain a delicacy here because of the subject, but, in hindsight, I think I could have used a few more lines.
I wouldn't change one single thing. What a sweet, sweet drawing of such a tender moment. I think your use of line perfectly captures the delicacy of the moment... really beautiful!
The first thing I thought, before reading the text, was how envious I am of your lines. Especially the way you use so few lines and yet achieve so much character, detail etc. It definately does not need amnymore. It is perfect.
(I have just been on Flickr and my first reaction, when I saw this drawing, was to click on 'Fave', in the top left hand corner of the drawing. Doh)
I just simply love your line drawings! You have the ability to say so much with the minimum of lines..I'm also thinking of your previous post..the "You say tomato" sketch where you've captured character with such great linework. I admire you for that! ronell
It's perfect! The baby's eyes and the little hand on the other side... Anyway, I'd not be so sure with a drawing of mine. It's very hard to to find the right moment to stop.
I think you had one of the toughest angles with the child's face against the shoulder, and yet, in a few (and confident, as always) lines, you rendered his expression so well -- the eyes, the nose.

I love your economy of line - it is what gives this drawing its charm. Don't change a thing.
There's no doubt at all about this drawing. You can see everything exactly, it's a beautiful drawing of a lovely subject.
