audacity

Edgar doesn't like me telling this story...so lets hope he doesn't read this... One day early in the summer we were driving through downtown Greensboro when a lady on the sidewalk started yelling towards our car "Barack!, Barack!" Evidently, she thought Edgar was running for president or looked as though he should be...in a 1993 Honda Civic nonetheless. It embarrassed him, but I got a good laugh.

This was drawn from a striking photo by Platon of Barack Obama in this week's Time Magazine.

What a great story - does he really look like him? In any case, this looks a lot like Barack- I really admire the way you use a pen!

I recognized him immediately -- what a stunning portrait. So well done, Suzanne. I love to see the human face done with your hand. Great stuff.
Funny anecdote!!

Edgar's not the only one being mistaken for a famous personality. One of my coworkers was at an elementary school recently, and one of the kids got very excited and pointed at him and announced to his classmates, "Look it's Martin Luther the king!"

As soon as I saw this I thought Barack, before I read the text. You got this one right on.
