Is it strange to say a piece of bark reminds you of a friend?
Edgar and I were walking Pokey in the Arboretum over the weekend and found this on the ground. My immediate reaction was to say "this looks just like Addie" as she fills her sketchbooks with doodles of curves and swirls which look pretty much exactly like this.
Any idea what type of tree this came from?

Is it oak trees that go all swirly like that? Beautiful drawing whatever. Something about curves in nature ... really really engaging ...
