After getting my first speeding ticket over Thanksgiving, I was required to appear in court on January 3rd. All I can say about the experience is "yikes!" I don't think I'm easily frightened, but wow, this was something else.
The "hand model" was sitting directly to my right...I chose to draw his interesting decorations from memory rather than life :)

sorry to hear about the ticket, but thanks to it we get to see these interesting sketches from your court experience! thanks for the visual reporting!
So that's what the Mini will do to ya. :-)
Gosh, look at that exhibit -- and i am still baffled by the spiked knuckles (how does he put on a sweater?).
the spiked knuckles guy, hmmm, does he fancy himself as Wolverine? how in the world was he able to put those spikes into knuckles. that must sure hurt. or is my imagination simply running wild thinking about it?
great blog! great sketches!
I am thinking that spiked knuckles could be good for climbing walls or maybe straining pasta. And frankly, being in a sea of mullets would freak me out a little. hehe. Great doodles Suzanne!
The mullets alone would have sent me packing! Actually, the scariest thing about getting your first speeding ticket (and second, for that matter) is being pulled over. Sometimes the cops are very polite and respectful and sometimes you get one on some giant, testosterone-fueled power trip. And he's got a gun (gulp) and handcuffs. (Shiver.)
(Actually, that last comment was from Karen at Pen in Hand, not her husband Carlo. :-)
It is definitely reassuring to know that I'm not the only one who is shocked and confused by the spiked knuckles!
Gabi- It's funny that you mention "visual reporting" because I couldn't help but feel a little like a "court reporter" while doing this.
France- It was 19 degrees the day I appeared in court. The "hand model" was wearing a t-shirt. I'm seriously doubting he wears sweaters :)
Palma - Believe me, my imagination is running the same course as yours!
Joan- Wow, based on your ideas, I think this guy has potential! And yes, the mullets....wow, Dog the Bounty Hunter would have been right at home.
Karen- Lucky for me, the cop was pretty nice...though that didn't make me like him any more!
I thought I've seen it all (my husband is a music manager)
But spiked knuckles??? That's just strange. But I have to admit it is creative...
As always, a great image you made!
Mullets always make the top of my most scary list too...great sketches
Ha ha! You made me laugh with your annotations of the local freak show! It reminds me of when I had to go to traffic school and we had to tell our crimes as an icebreaker and everyone was competing to sound more criminal than the guy before him. Lots of mullets there too, though that was back in the mullet decade.
lol...wonderful :)
