Rather than the aforementioned "gods of drawing" following me during spring break, the "gods of chicken-scratch doodling" did. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
However, I was able to catch a little "drawing" time while waiting for lunch at Pike Place. I love Seattle.

Hi, I just found you at the EDMSuperblog and thought I would "drop in." We used to live in Sequim, so this image jumped up quickly when I saw it. Really like your blog and will add it to my list. Please feel free to reciprocate, if interested.
I love this picture. I love Seattle too. My mother was born there. My uncle was a chef in the restaurant on top the needle when it opened for the world' fair. He was also a chef for years at the Olympic Hotel. My grandfather was born on Vashon Island in the 1890's when his family migrated from Nova Scotia and eventually settled in Ballard. I was born on Whidbey Island in 1951. Lots of drawing fodder to be found in the Puget Sound region.
Lovely sketch. I really like your blog's new banner design, too.
I've never been to Seattle to love it, but I do love this sketch, Suzanne.
Wee I would say it looks good and tastes good!
mmmmm fish and chips!
Love this picture:)
Love the colors!
It's great to have you back!

Hi Suzanne,
beautiful blog!! I love every single sketh you´ve posted. Since I am not a professional illustrator (just a person who loves to draw) i´d like to know how do you color your drawings... I know this one is watercolor but I understand the others are not. What kind of materials do you use most?
Thanks!
Karina
If only my paintings could look half as good as your "doodles"...
We'll be flying to Seattle en route to Vancouver this summer. Love the Pacific Northwest (grew up there).
Love your chicken scratches
I love your sketch. I'm always a fan of traditional art.
Suzanne, this is fantastic! You really captured the scene beautifully.
Way to go with your work. Keep it up.
Next time you are in Seattle, stop by for a visit to Good Nature-- we're three blocks from Pike Place Market.
best fishes
Timothy
