Here we have the capital of one of the many gianormous columns at the National Building Museum. Wow, they are huge. I really enjoy this video of David Macaulay drawing the same columns. I sure could've used his tips when starting this sketch...

Your drawing is adorable (strange comment, I know, for an architectural drawing but there's something really cute about the way it's kind of exploding all over the place!). Thanks for the link to MacAuley. I enjoyed the demo. I got a good tip from it too, as he explained about working all over the drawing and not getting stuck in one area or you'll find it doesn't match rest and you have to toss it and start over. That happened to me today--got one area way out of proportion to the rest of the drawing, though I was able to rescue it, I think. Nobody will know the building didn't really have the extra row of windows I added to fix it.
