I know the title of this post sounds as though I might have finally lost all my marbles, but it's true. I miss drawing pickles and half eaten sandwiches and all the other accoutrements that go along with lunch. I got a laptop a little less than a year ago, and since then I've have the tendency to take it to lunch with me rather than my sketchbook (wow, this sounds pathetic...occasionally I do take a friend :) Anyway, as a result, I haven't been doing nearly as much on-the-spot sketching as I used to and I miss that.
Inspired by France's recent post detailing her weekend, I decided to pull out my sketchbook and watercolors at Panera this afternoon and "detail" my lunch.

Great lines, beautiful hand style and I smiled when I read about drinking the watercolor water. Been there, done that. I survived. And my brushes got used to be dipped in hot tea as well:-)

Hehe. The top one is SO cute. I really like it. I've just seen France's post too. I immeadiately felt like taking up the challenge. You always do this stuff so well. It's the kind of drawing that got me hooked on your blog. So, yeah, I miss you drawing pickles too.
Your talent continues to blow me away... I hear you on the laptop thing, though. That's why I don't get a Blackberry or an iPhone... too much temptation!

I love your blog...it really reminds and inspires me to do sketches of things I normally wouldn't look at twice. Of course, now I actually have to follow up on the inspiration instead of being intimidated by the thought that none of it will measure up to yours. :}
