arrrgh!

We began yesterday's design visulization class focusing on drawing negative space. Drawing this bike proved itself to be quite the challenge. I enjoyed how the subject encouraged both my students and me to slow down and observe.

In the midst of drawing I also happened to observe this yesterday. I thought this student's shirt was too funny considering the difficulty the bike posed.

I agree with please sir, negative space can be a lot of fun, and frustrating. Excellent post.

Hello there! I've put a wee link to your blog on my most recent blog post, with a drawing of yours - if you'd like me to take it down, just let me know. Looking forward to catching up with your blog again after my mid-morning nap!

I hope your students realize how lucky they are to have you as an example and teacher!

I would love to join that class. Drawing negative space is one of the toughest things -- one really has to let go of everything one knows about shape. I have to do more of it.

That bike is really great. I too should do this more often. In fact, this drawing makes me want to have a go right now. In reality I'll put it on the list of things to do and hope that I'll get around to it one day.

Nice work.
