fall is in the air

I fell victim to the change of seasons this weekend...both in my heart and in my sinuses. Achooo! Any recommendations for non-drowsy relief? I don't think I can go on like this...

I like the Sabadil homeopathic medicine by Boiron. Every conventional medication puts me to sleep.

Nice photo; cute shoes! :)

I also get put to sleep by anthing, even "non drowsy" stuff. I second sabadil but also recommend airborne's seasonal allergy formula. Drink it with super cold water and use a straw so it goes down fast!

If you live anywhere near a Jamba Juice, get a regular size (medium) Green Tea Blast, with immunity. One every day for three days knocks out any cold I have. :) Oddly, the other Jamba flavors don't seem to knock it out quite so fast..

My friends swear by Vitamin Water also, but I haven't tested it yet. :)

I suffered for years after moving to a new city I was "allergic" to. The air here is very bad and I suffered 12 months out the year. Nothing I tried worked/didn't make me pass out in my soup. However, I finally found flonase works the best! As long as you don't mind squirting something up your nose it has given me 2 years without even a sniff! I love it! Good luck!

Oooh, poor you. That's what I had a couple of weeks back - a sinusy virally thingy. It's SO painful. I just went all out for any prescription drug I could get my hands on. The drowsier the better. So I'm probably not the one to make any recommendations.

Hope you feel better soon.

Aw!! Cute shoes, though!
Ok, seriously. Tylenol PM cough syrup -- whether you cough or not! Will knock you down for the night, and make you feel better the next day.
Or Denoral. But i think that's French medication :-) Works every time.

I would be happy to assist you!

France and Karen- Thanks for noticing the shoes...I simply couldn't crop them out! You can get some too at this fancy boutique called Target!

Target Shoes! I should have known.

I use to have a sneezing fit every time the season change. Now, I take Zyrtec D for two days and I'm OK.

Love your site (I got here off Pioneer Woman)!

I know it sounds gross... but THE BEST thing ever is a saline nasal rinse. I use NeilMed Saline rinses (Dr. Oz promotes neti-pot use). I've been allergy free for 2 years now that I do this and I do a rinse every day during peak season and every few days otherwise. The concept is to wash your sinuses clear of the allergens. Try it... you'll like it!
