my happy leaf

It's the little things in life, isn't it?. Stepping out of my car yesterday evening I almost stepped on this leaf...but I didn't because it looked like a heart and made me happy.

Speaking of happiness, have you been introduced to Operation Nice? I adore the idea behind this blog!

I love your happy leaf! Makes me happy too. I want to get back into sketching and the thought of adding color makes me a little nervous. I'm not sure the right tools to use. To get this kind of effect do you use colored markers like Prismacolor? Do you have any tips or tutorial materials? Thanks!

Hi Suzanne- I've only commented a few times (and thank you for your comment at my little blog!) I love your happy leaf. I'm wondering if you sell prints of this? I have some photos of leaves that I took and I think something like your happy leaf would look lovely with my photos to live on my walls. :) As always, I love your artwork!
