show and tell two

As I mentioned last week, my mailbox has been filled with some pretty remarkable mail lately. Early in the week I received the cutest little zine courtesy of San Francisco artist Megan Wolfe.

I have a friend who hates being described as "cute" so let me be quick to clarify. This zine is cute only because of its petite size (4.25" x 2.75"). The artwork, well that's another story...it's magnificient. Megan writes that with this zine her goal was to "work quickly and simply...my work is usually highly detailed and time consuming, but for this piece I found it prudent to do just the opposite." The results, a window dissolving into the page, bring to mind ink blot tests of times past...only its clear what I'm seeing...great talent! See more of Megan's work here.

Stay tuned for more show and tell very, very soon!

What an awesome idea. I bet it was very freeing to do this, too. I'm slow and methodical, but always like to just let it all out once in a while.

This is great :)
