I distinctly remember being little (maybe 4 or 5) at JCPenny and my parents wanting to buy me a pair of Smurf bedroom shoes. (You remember the kind...the ones with the big Smurf head on the toe) I also remember throwing a tantrum in the middle of the shoe department because I wanted some big girl slippers, not baby ones.
Fast forward 25 years to what I wear around the house at night.
I don't understand either.

I think you're regressing, Suzanne...you know, second childhood and all that. LOL! Just teasing ya!
Haha. I've been thinking about drawing my 'bed socks' (don't actually wear them in bed, of course)for a little while. This made me chuckle. They look prety similar, except mine don't have...er...faces!
LOL...I have monkey slippers with goofy grins on them. I don't think you ever outgrow that stuff, although you're all about being a big girl when you're little. My mom used to say we were younger than we were at restaurants so we could get in for the cheaper prices. I would become indignant and loudly proclaim that I was NOT 5 years old, I was 6! She almost killed me a couple of times for that kind of stuff.
These are cute! I once had Donald Ducks slippers, but they were so huge that I could never judge where my foot is on the staircase, resulting in many a bruise on my legs! Now I stick to boring slip-ons..

aaaah .... the older we get, the more confident are we in our sense of child-ness ;)
You know...I wish I had my giant Garfield slippers from my childhood now...I refuse to think I am grown up :)
