sofa talk

It's official. Pokey and Reilly have completely ruined our couch. NEVER again will I let them nap the day away on our upholstered furniture... This is where my love affair with my pets ends.

This is all to say we're on the look out for a new couch. And we've learned our lesson...this time we are going with leather. Though we're having a hard time finding one to compliment the small scale of the rest of our furniture. We really want something like the ones you see above...but in leather. Any suggestions???

Rob and I are DYING for a KRAMFORS sofa from Ikea- it's a dark brown leather and not too big and oh so comfortable.

Hm, how about this: http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p10982/index.cfm?pkey=cleather%2Dsofas
Or is that too "heavy"?

Check! Check! and Check! Thanks for the suggestions so far. To answer your question Teresa---a little on the bulky side---but definitely worth checking out. I think we'll be going to Pottery Barn this weekend.

Cool! I drool over their catalogs all the time. Our dining set is from PB; it's one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture we have. :)

Oooo, nice choices! You might ask the sofa-helper-person what his or her take is on dogs and furniture. I was going to get leather and the guy reminded me that dogs tend to scratch leather so if Kanoe was going to jump on the couch during the day while I'm gone, I better think twice. Just a thought! But I kind of wished I got leather still.

I'm with you on this one. Leather/pleather only from now on. In addition, the same now goes for the car seats as well. I have some funky fabric on the seats on my Jetta, and after lint brushing it a million times, I vowed we will only have pleather seats on any future vehicles. I don't have time to lint brush car seats, for goodness sakes!

In return for your pointing out that lovely lamp for me, I thought you might find this interesting, although the price tag is painful to look at:http://www.exclusivelyhome.com/product_info.php?products_id=1655&gdftrk=7Nv1A/dGJsbjUm2Ki5rbkDcKAqO/H4MrbO4tgtTDZ8aVWeJa/IAMnf9gvSq3XBMHXb6JXc9~KdMNNoVDjrhNHu/J04dfyMhHCkJkbQ8RIx181tqdDHiUPuu1/9ljguzBE2ChSHrDij87RXWYMuFMDQ__

Some dogs love to chew leather. Better find this out beforehand. I adopted a shelter dog who chewed up two sofa cushions before I figured out that I needed to crate her when I was out of the ROOM (much less the house!).
