I love the treatment you give your sketches they make them unique and recognisable as yours. I like drawing old ladies, they stay still for ages! :-)

Hi Karen---
I do this using a series of layers in photoshop. First I scan in my sketch..once I've cleaned it up a bit (by adjusting the levels) I unlock the layer and multiply it. After that I create a series of new layers (underneath the first original layer) to which I add color, text, etc. I apply the color using my wacom tablet, but if it isn't available at the computer I'm using, I'll just use my mouse.

All of what I described was a foreign language to me a couple of months ago, so if you need further explanation please let me know and I'll try to do a better job of defining the process.
