There are people...
...many of whom hide their true identity...
and then there are characters -- individuals who devote 100% of themselves to being who they want to be and don't feel the need to tone it down for anyone. In life and in art, it's the characters I am drawn to the most.
Thank you airport cowboy!

Oh yes, I am drawn to characters too. Great sketches.
There's something about a cowboy in an airport...I love it!
OMG!!!! These are great! These sketches really showcase your talent. Non-sketchers really don't appreciate how disciplined and talented you have to be to render a person with the minimal lines that you do. This is something I wish I could do....
Excellent sketches! I wish I could capture people the way you can.
Congratulations for the great blog post and a wonderful layout
your ability to capture passing moments is just brilliant! i love these scenes - i think airports provide some of the best creative fodder.

Like your sketches. Spot colors are nice. Nice chronicle of your trip.
I love your characters... such personality.
Love this sketch. It's so full of character and the colors are so subtly added - just enough to flesh out the sketch. I can see why you are attracted to depicting people who let it all hang out. They make interesting subjects.

I love the cowboy. Great proportions, and just enough color!
the characters always make it so interesting. love your sketches.
...and I thought I was the only crazy character at the airport to sketch and analyze all the people, pets and parcels. Oh the places we go.
This made me smile. I've been there, with other airport cowboys. Also, drag queen lady.
Wonderful! Thanks for capturing it.
This is awesome. Love that he's letting it all hang out, so to speak. An inspirational sketch, to say the least!
