Ok, maybe not. But perfect for thinking about painting.
As I've mentioned a time or two, at the top of our home's long punch list is a new exterior color scheme. The one now is ok, but we're no shrinking violets when it comes to color...we've gotta add some punch.
A few weeks ago, Edgar and I tested out our initial ideas on what was a mess of a yard barn. This was helpful, except for the fact the proportions are so different from the house, where there would only be a small dose of yellow.
There would be opportunity to change the door color over time:
Or maybe even paint the recessed entry white...
Up next, something a little less blue. Perhaps a little more like this painting from a while back.

i think you know my pick [considering my obsession with purple]- the eggplant + yellow wins my vote!
I think eggplant is my favourit for the walls... about the door I not sure about that yellow though... But it work wonderfully on the barn on which I also like the combination of colors wall and door. So those two wallcolors are my picks.

I l-o-v-e the dark blue on the house! If you paint the recess white, and then one of the poppy door colors (green), it'll make that area very inviting and welcoming. I have that same shade of green on the inside of a little work binder - fun to pick up and work!
I think eggplant and yellow is pretty nice too, although that purple door is doing something great! *giggle* at your guard dogs!
I really like the white recessed area: the last choice posted wins my vote! It's easy to decide for other people- harder when it's your own! Good luck and happy painting!
You have the worlds cutest garden shed. Love the colour schemes. Seriously don't know how you'll choose, they all look good.
Great idea to choose the colour of the door. I personaly like the purple one - is very stylish. Looking forward to see your choice :)

oh i think that the first option with the navy-ish blue house and the yellow door with the white trim is the best!
although the eggplant is stylish, i think you may get sick of it. blue is more classic and changing a door is alot easier than the whole house!!
