thesis challenge: take 2

Originally I wasn't happy with this one at all. In fact, just a second ago, I drafted a completely different post complaining about the lack of contrast, blah, blah, blah. But, the computer screen has a magical way of transforming things. Now that I see it digitally, I kinda like it. Funny how that works.

I love the drawing over text - very cool.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I'm often surprised how things can look so different once posted too. Sometimes a good thing sometimes a bad. When it works it seems to give the particular drawing a whole new lease of life! On the other hand I can often see things (faults!) in some drawings that hadn't been noticable before seeing them on screen. Ah, you win some you lose some. This one you definatley won!

I like it a lot in fact. I like how you insisted on the foreground -- and how you drew it all over print. Your strokes are full of confidence. Hmmm.

lots of stuff looks better when transformed in some way ... i used to reduce the size of some drawings while copying them, that was good fun.

This is great! I agree with heather--wonderful idea to draw over the text. I like the way the guy is busy doing something but we can't see what because we're just seeing him from the back in the same way the type is saying something but it's in the background and we don't know what it is.
