up close and personal

Finally, one I'm a little more pleased with...though looking at my face this close in the mirror was quite startling.

i love how you've been sketching on bits of random paper.... VERY fun! They make great compositions! This one is my favorite so far! I wanna see more!

I have spent so much time on each self-portrait -- blowing up each picture, scrutinizing for details. I am getting a kick out of the assignment, and i too find this one most striking. The eye!! Hmm.
Will you post pictures of your students' exhibit? I am curious to see some results. What a cool assignment.

This is really great! I've loved all the series, the process, the honesty and the courage to publish even the first attempts!

This self portrait is wonderful. I also really like the one above of you behind the trees. Very inspiring.

I also understand your "organizing frenzy" Sometimes I think my interest in interiors is fueled by a desire to have a beautiful, well designed place for stuff. It's hard to get rid of stuff, but drawings or photos help--and the cleaning out feels great. Sarah
