Do many dogs like grapes ? (you can tell I'm not a doggy person or I wouldn't be asking) but I assume it's not a good thing to allow - even on a birthday.
Outside of the residual effects of 5 pounds of grapes (think: Natural Laxative), it sounds like the perfect birthday party! We'll be fetching and playing in Reilly's honor!
When my daughter was a small child her grandparents had a cute beagle next door in the fenced in yard. Our daughter became fast friends with the dog and could just reach her fingers through the fence. We didnt realize how MANY grapes she had been feeding the dog until the next year when the owner heard we were again visiting and made a bee line to the grandparents and asked that we not feed the dog grapes. There had been quite the mess!Tell Reilly to beware...
man...thank you all for the advise on the grapes. She really loves them, but as of today...no more Reilley! not even on your birthday! Suzanne and I can't afford to loose you!
What a great blog you have! Your sketches are wonderful, I've just added you to my 'favorites' so I can come back often and see what you're up too. I laughted when you said that photo inspired you to get a pedicure! Joan
I love the list, Suzanne. Also glad others mentioned the grape thing (which I just learned a few months ago ). My dogs have had numerous accidental encounters with chocolate over the years, which had unfortunate (but never fatal) results. Never had a dog who liked grapes, though. I can almost HEAR Reilly's chewing-on-the-plastic-bottle noises now. Happy Birthday!
oh i am howling!! i skipped the first part that mentioned this was about your cat, and assumed this was your wish list for your birthday... i was kinda half awake, half asleep tonight when i was blog browsing, so my common sense filter was not totally on. then i got to the end and saw the cat with the tennis ball and realized that it was not you who wanted to lick all of the guests or dig in the trash. oh, i needed a good laugh. thank you for entertaining me!

OMG, for a second I thought this was talking about a child and I wondered why she wanted to lick the guests! What can I say, I'm a bit slow today.
Aaaaaw! I love the little chunky doggie butt. :D
I think most of those things are on my birthday list too! Clever doggie!!
Awww, look at the cute, stubby, waggy tail!
So which ones on the list will you allow her?
Beautiful blog!
they seem like perfectly reasonable requests to me. happy birthday, reilly. woof, woof!

Reillys drawing is SO cute-love it!
Please never feed a dog grapes! They are poisonous to dogs! The Same is true of raisins. http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/raisins.asp
Anonymous is right! My co-worker's dog just died of kidney failure due to eating grapes!
