Pick the funniest, cleverest, most life-altering lines and passages, scan them (the handwriting is important) and email to me [cabrera.suzanne [at] gmail.com], along with the approximate date of the entry. These pieces of info [scanned excerpts and dates] are crucial, but you can remain anonymous or have a pseudonym. It's totally up to you.
So where is this all headed? How about into some illustrations?!? I have plenty of my own teenage angst to capture in sketches, but I love collaborative projects! While I can't guarantee that every contribution will lead to a drawing...I'll certainly appreciate the inspiration!

Oh dear--where will I begin...I've got piles of journals--this will be fun!
Just pulled my old one out of the sock drawer. Not sure where the key is but fortunately it was unlocked!
Yay!!!! I look forward to seeing what you uncover!
That is GENIUS. I wish I was more of a diligent diary-keeper. I'm sure I can find an old journal somewhere with something embarrassing.
Be prepared. I kept journals for years; I'm sure I'll find something angsty to send you.
This will be a riot. I don't have a scanner...but I will see what I can do.
A couple of years ago, I spoke to a group of women and as an opener I shared some bits and pieces of some old diaries I kept as a teen.
