I saw this flower in a vase today and thought "Hey, that's how I feel too," a little on the weary side, but trying to stay sunny. I couldn't resist plucking the flower from the vase so I could draw it this afternoon.
Heather- I used watercolors on watercolor paper. I haven't done it in the past, but I am actually considering doing my renderings this semester in watercolor. Have you tried this before?
Best one yet in my uneducated opinion. I wish I had thoughtful questioning/critique, but I won't overstep my bounds. I really like the color though, its very eye catching with the offset white contrast. It seems to have good depth…….SFordahl :)
I haven't tried the watercolor. I usually do my renderings with prismacolor markers on vellum. Ink line drawing on one side and then I render it in reverse with the markers on the other side. I've seen other projects done in watercolor and they've been beautiful. Would love to see how yours turn out!

Thanks Laura. This comes from years of working on my handwriting while taking notes in class! Hey, I may not have understood what I was writing, but at least my notes looked good...right?

Not only is the drawing gorgeous, but I WANT your handwriting!! ;D. Maybe I could just borrow it from time to time? Mine is awful.
