I spent a large part of yesteday in two little cafes drawing. It was so relaxing and something I wish I could do every day. Edgar gave me a new pen which I like a whole lot, but it isn't waterproof. I learned this as I applied watercolors to this little man sketch. The water really muddied it all up, but I think I'm ok with that.

Fun sketches and sounds like a great time. People are so interesting.
yeah, muddied up can be good, go with it!
love your work, as always!
I like the bleeding of the pen VERY much in fact. It softens everything. I get so intimidated by faces when i draw people in public places -- but you dive right in, and i love the results.
Lovely, Suzanne.
I think that's a beautiful part about your drawing :) Nice work!
really wonderful drawings and yes I like the bleeding of the pen too.
the bleeding of the pen is a wonderful soft look. really like it. what kind of pen is it? your venice trip sounds so very exciting! have fun.
Rachel-
To be honest I'm not sure what kind of pen it is....I know it isn't a very expensive one. It doesn't even have a label. It's just a black pen with a felt tip. About as generic as one can get.
Suzanne, do you use a watercolor sketchbook?
