I put this collage together last year for a fundraiser at the local animal shelter. They needed a large backdrop that volunteers could have their photos taken in front of. The fun part of this assignment was visiting the shelter and taking photos. The sad part of the assignment was that there were so many animals in the shelter. I can't help but wonder what happened to all the sweet little subjects in the year since.
If you look closely, you will spot Pokey, front and center. I couldn't leave him out...he's practically my trademark.

Aaaw, so lovely. Gorgeous photo of Pokey. Animal shelters and their staff do such excellent work, don't they? They are all volunteers over here and the shelters themselves rely on the generosity of the public to survive - is it the same in the US?
