A while back I had the great fortune of meeting a friend of a friend who happens to be a rep for
Sharpie! What luck! I was given Retractable Sharpies, Professional Sharpies, Highlighter Sharpies, Fine Point Sharpies, Ultra Fine Point Sharpies, Metallic Sharpies and Micro Sharpies in every color imaginable! I hit the Sharpie jackpot! Since then, more and more of the drawings in my sketchbook are appearing in none other than....you guessed it....Sharpie!

Oh, what fun. Looking forward to seeing some of those sketches... Gunna share with us some of your sketches you've put into your sketch book????
How fortuitous. I keep on hearing about Sharpies - they're the new Moleskine. I'm probably gonna have to find out what all the fuss is about. Yet another excuse to go pen shopping I guess. Cool drawing.
Totally jealous. I've only ever used the "sign my yearbook" black sharpie...do they vary much in type of tip or ink, that sort of thing?
Love it! Hope your life is a bit calmer now ;) ... (the girl with a PURPLE sharpie!)
oh. my. god. how do i meet this person? i LOVE a sharpie ... you have no idea! i am SO jealous.
great drawing, too. i love seeing this kind of stuff from you ... very helpful as we work on hatching in class.
fabulous! and I'm so jealous it's sharpie because I LOVE sharpies. my daughter and her friends use them almost exclusively for their drawing and their work is fluid and beautiful just like yours. mine always ends up looking like I drew with a big stick. you obviously are much more in touch with your youthful side than I. ;-)
that's awesome!! that's all we use at work - black and red sharpies with dual tips. it's great!
awesome sketch, as always!!!!
As Dick Vitale would say, serendipity, baby! (or at least I think it was him...I'm not much of a sports fan) How wonderful!! I'd love to see those drawing too.
Hey, this is a great tribute to Sharpies! I bought the mix pack of fine points and they are lovely to have around I must say! I will have to draw with them more!
Nice mix of desktop "stuff", Suzanne!
I love Sharpies too -- though i don't seem to own such a wide variety!
However, i don't seem to get over the fact that Pigma Microns are my newest faves. :-)
I'm sorry to all of you out there swimming in Sharpie jealousy. Perhaps the Sharpie Hummer will come your way one day!
Marc- Yes, they vary some. I've got the fat tip, the medium tip (the aforementioned "sign my yearbook" sharpie) and the thin tip...my favorite.
I was going to jump in on this Sharpie jealousy bandwagon - I don't use them, but the idea of having someone bring supplies of art stuff is pretty heady stuff. Makes me swoon to think.
But, OMG, then I saw the chair sketching post in the IAR Blog.folio. Now I'm totally jealous. Totally. Lucky you and your students, getting to draw from "life"... ;)
Awesome stuff. Love the sepia look here.

Oh mench! How lucky are you? I would love to have a friend in the pen business!
I am so so so-oh jealous of how ahhh-some your drawing is and the of the fact you got lots of sharpies thrown your way. Ugh- so so lucky!
