loosening up

After a extended break, I'm trying to get back in the routine of going to the gym on a regular basis. If there is one thing I've been reminded of by this experience it is that the same rules apply to exercising as they do to drawing: both take diligence, improvement doesn't happen overnight and just as it is important to be loose when drawing, it is important to loosen up before exercising. OTHERWISE, you feel like I do today...awww, eek, awww, eek, yikes...every single move hurts.

Great sketch!

Definitely good advice. I really need to do both on a regular basis - both my drawing and body muscles are flabby from the lack of use.

I need to find a scanner so I can post the drawings I've been doing over the break, and I've only had 2 days of relaxation, I've been working since I got on holiday although this weekend, I'm heading up to the duke Chapel to draw that gothic behemoth..

It's true - both activities really require regularity, and lately I'm not doing too well on either count. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great drawing too - I think I'll try a large-nibbed pencil.

lovely sketches, Suzanne. I definitely agree with you about how important regular practise is - for everything.

Nice shoes ... hope the exercise regime doesn't leave you in too much pain ... makes me think maybe I should get back into it as well .... hmm.....

Suzanne, I have the same exact NB in my closet.
Bravo on going to the gym. I sure as heck couldn't do it!

Heh heh heh, I sooo understand what you mean. I am preparing my second room to accommodate my treadmill and Total Gym. But don't ask me when I used them last. It would be too embarrassing to admit! :) Great shoes! I have similar NBs.

Hey Suzanne, how are you? I hope your visits to the gym are not taking up all your time these days! Missing your posts. Missing you.

Cool drawing as always.
