A couple of days ago Karen at Pen in Hand suggested that I get a job at the J. Peterman catalog. While I was unfamiliar with the catalog before Karen's comment, I have now officially added this to my "Unofficial LIst of Dream Jobs". Here are some others:
- contributor to HOW magazine
- children's book illustrator
- professional blogger
- designer of everything
- travel expert
- book author
- cartoonist
- design show host
- editor for Country Living Magazine
- creative force at Martha Stewart Living
- magazine art director
- and recently, display coordinator for Anthropologie
Luckily, I already have a dream job...but just in case, it's important to have options :)

Obviously, you didn't use to watch Seinfeld (Elaine worked for "Mr. Peterman")...LOL! Once upon a time I got their catalogs; never bought anything, although I drooled over all the pages, so they stopped sending them to me.
My dream job was to write for them (like Elaine did). ;)
Gorgeous sketch & garnment
I'm so there with you - Country Living, Martha Stewart and Anthropologie!
Oh Suzanne! I am glad you have been introduced to J. Peterman. I thought of that catalog also when I saw your first sketch. If you go to the website you can sign up to get the catalog. It is such a delight...I always feel guilty throwing them away.
I am sure they will stop my subscription soon since I never buy anything ;)
Very cute. What are you using to colour these?
I have some of those jobs on my list too. Children's book illustrator, designer of everything, proffessional chef, guitar legend, writer of terrible daytime movies, high powered business woman.....
What a gorgeous camisole! Lovely colours too ~ :)
I happened on your blog today and I love your sketches! Oh how I wish I could sketch like you. :) Anyhoo...it's funny that your friend suggested you work for J. Peterman...when I got to your blog I thought you DID! ;) Have a great weekend.
