It's been a great week for mail at my house. I've received three goody-filled packages from some incredibly talented friends in some pretty fantastic places: San Francisco, California; Bologna, Italy; and Barrow, Alaska. I'll be "opening" each of these packages here, so please stay tuned.
Today, I'm beginning "Show and Tell" (my favorite thing about kindergarten) with this little guy courtesy of Annie Patterson in Barrow, Alaska. I have been entranced by the beauty and purity of Annie's work for quite a while. Getting to own a piece of it is w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l! See more of Annie's work including sketches, paintings and photographs from the Northernmost city in North America on her blog, Imagine and Create. So, so lovely.

Excellent! Annie's work is truly magical.
Can't wait to see the other 2 pkgs!
What a great piece - can't wait to see what's next too!
I'm intrigued to hear more about the lovely packages of images from your friends - is this a pact you have for fun? If so, it's a great idea, although I'd be so frightened things would get lost in the post...
So glad I stumbled upon your blog. I love your creativity. You are so talented!
Thanks, Suzanne!!! You're too sweet.
Oh my mom's Jack Russell climbed a tree after a cat today, 20 feet up, then jumped out of the tree from that high up! He landed on his feet and appears to be ok, but jeeesh! Crazy dogs!
Oooh cool, I believe I know about the one from Bologna and I just cannot wait to see it.
You are right Annie's work is really very beautiful. I have a print myself - which I found through a link on your blog.
This could be a nice little regular feature - the show and tell. We never had that in our schools. It's such a nice idea.
I love her style.
This illustration is lovely :)
