waiting for "minnie"

Need your car taken to the shop? I'd be happy to help out.It sounds crazy but I can honestly say that I enjoyed every single minute of the four hours I spent waiting for my car to be serviced at the Mini dealership this morning. It was so refreshing to be "stuck" somewhere with nothing to do but draw.

Lovely drawing! I'll have to remember to take a sketchbook if I ever have to get my car worked on.

Wow! Great idea. Mini Coopers are so cool. I love the festive decor you captured as well. I should try sketching the next time I get my oil changed.

This is a great drawing! I have found that since I carry my sketchbook with me, I don't mind waiting for things anymore!

I'm so impressed! I would have spent the time fooling around on my iPhone or reading, but this is incredible!

Thanks for all your comments! I have to say that this is one drawing I am really proud of. I'm not sure I could have accomplished this a year ago...and thats a good feeling.

Suzanne....Wonderful sketch. Like others, you got me thinking of how I can better use those down times to create something.

Terrific job!

Brings back memories of my father's mechanic shop which then turned into my brother's mechanic shop. Great work!

This is fantastic! I'm really liking this one. What an engaging drawing. I couldn't sketch my car being serviced I'm not good at drawing mechanics rolling around on the floor laughing hysterically!
It's my favourite drawing so far (except for Edgars chair of course!)

Love it...MINI dealerships are a virtual sea of color, aren't they? (My hubby has a MINI...and I love going to the dealer)

Gosh, this is so great, Suzanne. I cannot believe you drew this freehand. There is no way I could do that. Brilliant.

And, finally, I can go to Flickr and Fave it!

I have to agree! I love waiting because it gives me guilt-free time to read, draw, or write :-)

And I adore your car. She is gorgeous! I live in England, land of minis... and what do I drive? A hulking Volvo. Sigh.
