a room with a view

Hiya!

I'm back from a whirlwind trip to St. Louis, Missouri for the Interior Design Educators Council Annual Conference where I had an excellent time and got to see some pretty incredible things...like this view from my hotel window.

While in the Gateway City, I was able to slip away from the conference to go up the arch (it's like stepping back in time and into the future simultaneously), and take in a traveling exhibit on Eero Saarinen, designer of the arch and much, much more (including one of my favorite chairs!).

If you live in St. Louis or one of the cities this exhibit will visit, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. However, let me warn you that the photographs, videos, drawings and models will induce mid-century modern madness. Watch out!
