The first in a little series I've been working on since...oh, July. My favorite illustrations are all of either cameras or typewriters. I've decided it's time I try my hand out at both. I'm thinking about 10 of these little jewels, repeated, could make a pretty nifty wallpaper pattern... Let's see if I can get there.

cameras are so tough to draw - i can never manage the angles and all the little pieces and parts. yours looks great! love the colors - and yes - it would make a great pattern!
Hi Suzanne- I love all of your renderings. What kind of pens (black) do you use?
I have an artist friend who "inherited" a ton of old cameras when she moved into her quaint apartment nearly 20 years ago. I should ask her if she's every thought about drawing them. :)
p.s. these drawings would also make a great fabric pattern (such as using Spoonflower.com )
how clever ! you have a great blog here too - thanks
can't wait for the rest of the illustrations! Really nice!
I just found your blog.. OMG! *LOVE* your work :)
Suzanne, +your+ art brightens our days! Did you use Illustrator here? Or Markers? I do believe these could make a truly wonderful and unique pattern. Are you on etsy.com? I am happy to say I finally launched my blog, and finished all the portfolio tabs! yay! keep up the Inspiring work!
I really like this. I can't wait to see the rest!
Oh my! Thanks for all the lovely comments. Miti...to answer your question, I did the original drawing by hand and added color in photoshop. And no active Etsy shop now...but hopefully soon.
I just need to push myself!
I am loving this! Please, please sell prints! I will be one of your first customers! :)
