OOOh, fancy! I'm trying to put off replacement of my little Mac PowerBook as long as I can. Just bought an external hard drive and additional memory... but she gets a little slower every day. Seeing your new computer makes me want one even more!
I love how the GIANT new computer screen has a teeny-weeny keyboard while the teeny-weeny computer screen has a GIANT keyboard. Oh life's little contradictions make me laugh! :)
What a replacement wow! There's a saying in my language (Turkish); "Güle güle kullan!" which is said when someone gets something new and it means "Hope you'll alyways be happy using it". =)
Just had to replace my little hemisphere iMac too. It just died on me. My husband got a new one and I got his almost new one that looks like your new iMac. Luckily I have a friend who removed the hard drive from the old Mac, transferred the data to one of her old Macs and then transferred that to an external hard drive which she used to transfer data to my new Mac. Aw, poor little computer! I have the same iMac as you (the new one) but I always wanted one of those anglepoise ones. They're so pretty. Even when they're sulking!
I suppose you did not know that the new Mac can access the other Mac and transfer everything you want though a uSB cable??? i have the 24“ inches and I am delighted with iPhoto and iMovie!!!

We just made the same kind of replacement this Christmas. We retired the 8yo 17" iMac (Luxo Jr. like yours) with a 21" iMac.
That 8yo iMac is still running, albeit like an out of shape donut tester on a marathon.

Ooh, nice... My mother-in-law got a new iMac for Christmas, and now my husband is dying for one, too. Too bad his MacBook is in such good shape!
