This made me want to try another 'name this place' exercise here. So, if you live in Greensboro (I know there is at least one or two of you that do)...try this one on for size. Where am I?

Finished here? Go ahead and visit Michelle's blog : A Schematic Life. Her drawings are sooooo good.

Ooo Ooo Carolina Cafe!
Madge...you make it seem so easy.
As someone who hasn't lived in Greensboro for three years now, I don't know if it's a good thing or not that I still recognize the restaurants... Maybe it just means your sketches are THAT good :)
Awww, It's the place in the Friendly Center, isn't it? I don't remember the name, though it's obviously Carolina Cafe, but it's not very often you find a place that has throw pillows for cushions! I loved the broccoli cheese soup there!
Very true Chey...or little light fixtures with lots and lots of beads.
Carolina Cafe! I'm eating there tomorrow! They do have really delicious soups..the potato and french onion are my fav. I just made myself reeeeaalllly hungry now!
Not a clue, but a great job on perspective. I love your figures, it is my peeve when drawing buildings so I usually skip them!
I have no idea, but it seems such a charming place! And your sketch is so great!
kelly took the words out of my fingers! your sketch must have been super accurate in order to reveal its identity, halfway around the world no less!
off to see michelle's world...
I WISH I was in Greensboro and knew where it is! Seems like a lovely spot!
love your drawing/drawings...love the idea :)
Hey this is a great idea. The whole 'guess where' thing. I like.
And, boy, you were not wrong about Michelle's drawings. I've just spent half an hour drooling over them. Amazing. Great link.
Serving a 100 covers is larger than most restaurants in NYC. Most of the restaurants are much smaller.
