As if the dark circles weren't enough punishment, there is a nice eyeliner mishap to boot. I wish I could say this was the first time I'd paraded around in front of students looking silly...but oh no, there was size tag incident and the chocolate + corduroy debacle (thank goodness there is no sketch to go along with that) and....
Oh my. What would I do if I couldn't laugh?!?
If you're in 2nd year studio and saw me looking like this yesterday, I'm expecting a good explanation for why you didn't tell me....here, in the comments...pronto.

Ah, that's nothing you can always say it's a new art project. ;-)
I've sported these Panda eyes in a job interview. Well, I don't have to mention, that I didn't get that job. Do I?
Cool sketch and keep your humor! It's essential for a good life.
hee hee, just went to check the "size tag incident" post out and loved it.
well, you should try getting a less restless eyeliner. one that stays on the eyelid and doesn't feel the need to go places ;)
having said that... panda eyes are in, though.
just saw the 'size tag incident' and all I can say is...been there...done that! :)
You could tell the students it was an observation exercise . . . as in: "Tell me what was different about me yesterday."
I like Roadchick's answer!
I always tell people if they have food on their faces or between their teeth, but make-up "mishaps"...I'm never sure whether to mention those, for some reason.
haha...i promise this is not how you looked when we talked yesterday!!!
Haha. I would have totally told you...
Tim---and I'm supposed to believe you after the chocolate/corduroy debacle?
Yeah, RoadChick has the right idea...something isn't the same as it was exercise...the trick is to find a tactful way to point it out without everyone hearing you.
Well, when I saw you for class yesterday at 12, I can assure you, your eyeliner was not being unruly.. I LOVE the size tag posting... I'd like to think I would have told you about that if I saw it... haha.
Lady Gaga would kill for that look.
I honestly thought you looked really pretty. I suppose the eyeliner hadn't dripped down your face as far as it may have been at the end of the day.
At least you remembered your eyeliner, that's what's important. A day without eyeliner is a bad day.:)
lol! I love coming back to visit your blog, there is always a smile and giggle to be had. Something similar happened to me once- I went on a snowboarding date with a guy I had a crush on. It had been raining while we were there and it wasnt until I got home and looked in a mirror that I realized I had streaks of eyeliner running down my face. He never told me!
This and the size tag incident are so funny - two things I dread happening! I can only assume your students are too terrified of you to say anything! ;) If that's not the reason, then I'd deduct marks so they'll tell you next time!
Seems to me the correct answer is - "you're so pretty, why do you bother with such artifice?!!"
Love the story and the tag story too - would love to be able to say "never did that before", but alas, I've fallen into that snafu as well! Affliction of the human race - to be human!!
