keeping all cats in bags

As promised...here are a few images of some of the stationery ensembles I designed for a client to give as Christmas presents. Do I have the best job in the world or what???? Hopefully, they have all been unwrapped by this time so I am not letting any cats out of bags! As I have expressed before, stationery design is an area that I hope to pursue further in the coming year. At this point I am working with small custom batches. I love doing this, but would also like to produce and distribute larger quantities; the next step is to figure out just how to do this.

Gorgeous! And I love the matching accessories...string, colored pencils, etc. I bet there's a really good market for this sort of thing, especially custom designed with such style and elegance.

These are just terrible for stationary addicts like me - how are we supposed to resist such sweet temptation?!!

Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year, and thanks for all your lovely comments!

Best of luck Suzanne! These are great. You just need someone with connections to take notice. Have you thought about sending a link to the Design*Sponge or Decor8 blogs?

Oh these are just GORGEOUS! I too would not be able to resist them. How do you get them all printed? Probably really stupid questions but I have no idea how all that works?? They are just so stylish and the colours perfect. Can't wait to hear more of your venture through 2007.
Lots of love and Happy New Year!

These are so beautiful! You really have the eye for this. I think they fill a niche for contemporary design that is not quite minimalist but as far from fussy as can be. I'd love to order some!

They are all lovely, but I'm especially love with the last two (I think the second is my favorite, but it's so hard to decide).

How would one find ou how much you charge for such funky creations?

Thanks to all of your for your feedback about the stationery. It gets me so excited that you like what I am doing!

Heather- Thanks so much for the Design*Sponge and Decor8 blogs. Would you believe that Design*Sponge recently had a post with a podcast of a couple (Paper + Cup) doing exactly what I want to do???? Amazing.

Andrea- Your printing questions aren't stupid at all. In fact, these are the same questions I am facing that prevent me from moving forward. At the moment, I am printing short runs of custom pieces on my home printer. The quality is actually pretty nice...but, sometimes the paper jams, which can be a real drag. I hope to find a local printer who can help me soon.

Megan- Thanks so much for your interest! I would love to make some stationery for you. If you'd like, please email me at suzannebuchanandesign@yahoo.com and I will get back with some pricing info.
