speaking of messes

Last time I drew a sink full of dirty dishes I was thinking about how it would be to live like a celebrity...Britney Spears in particular...and never have to do the dishes. Today, however, I am relieved to be me and not Britney! I'll take doing the dishes any day over the chaos that surrounds her. In fact, I consider myself lucky!

I love the green ink. Whether or not it is a Photoshop trick...it is beautiful...

I'm glad you're not Britney, but the super talened Suzanne instead! I think it's better to have the ability to make a sink full of dirty dishes look glamorous than to have the here-today-gone-tomorow "glamor" that many celebs have.

I think everyone has a messy sink area - at least once a week!! Except I don't think many people have the talent to make it look as good as you do!!!
The green ink is really cool!

Thanks for commenting on my 100th post ;)

What a wonderful idea to make the washing up into a work of art for posterity! It's a lovely drawing and I like the green ink you've used!

We are definitely all happy you are you and not Britney. Britney should wish she was you.

Nice drawing. Not brave enough to draw my dirty dishes! I like the green ink too.

This is the kind of sketch i am dying to do lately. I've been staring at the kitchen counter thinking i should draw it -- and there you are, with a brilliant little sketch.

This is fantastic, your loose sketches are absolutely wonderful. Love the colour as well.

Such a gorgeous sketch. Exactly the kind of sketch I wish i could do - but I'd end up cross hatching it to death!

Incidentally, i saw your new post on your college blog. Wow. The internet never fails to astound me. It's hard to believe that there will be a class in North Carolina discussing cross-hatching and comparing both France's and my style. That completely freaks me out and makes me feel very proud too. Thank you.

Wonderful sketch and I enjoyed your post about celebrity and dishes. I actually really like doing dishes (when I'm in the mood) but the celebrity perk I fantasize about is having a cook!
