happy at home and abroad

studio vignette 2
I've been getting daily reports from Edgar. Daily reports on his cute hotel, the innkeeper who offers to iron his clothes, the little bits of Italian he can decipher, the latest fashion, his new job, the abundance of wine and, of course, the food. Mainly, the food. Edgar is convinced that Italians know the secrets to living, starting with what to eat. I'm pretty certain he's right.

On my side of the world, things are much quieter. School is calm. Home is even calmer (with the exception of Reilly who refuses to let me sit without tossing her a tennis ball to fetch). This peacefulness makes me happy...happy because I have more time to absorb the world around me, open my sketchbook and draw. This is when I am happiest.

But back to Edgar, you might like to check out this link to today's local paper that reveals a little more about the story behind this man I admire so much.

That article so made me cry! Even if it didn't do Edgar complete justice: you have to know him to really understand what an incredible person he is. And I'm glad he found you ('cause you are just as incredible [and I'm not exaggerating in the least])- you guys are so perfect together, more than any other couple I've ever met!

Behind every great man there is a great woman and it holds true with your story as well. *sigh*
That is one of the reasons I tagged you with the "I love your artblog" award in my blog. HUGS!!

I usually over-hear / pick-up on a lot and consider myself to be extremely observant, so I'm really kind of shocked that I had no idea about any of this. I knew you two got married - congrats, great looking wedding by the way! - but I'm so glad you posted this.

I want to hear more about Edgar's position with Natuzzi - sounds awesome! Congrats to both of you - seems like you're both doing what you love to do :)

OMG! That newspaper article made me cry! What a beautiful story of putting yourself out there and making great things happen... I can see why you are so proud of him -- congratulations to Edgar -- and thanks to him, too, for the inspiration he provides through how he lives his life.

You know, I love Flickr, but sometimes you need to come to a persons blog to really catch up.

Wow. I actually had a tear in my eye reading that. I've said before, on Edgar's blog, that I always seem to end up in tears reading his posts. So why break the habit? SO touching. And, I'm so glad you shared it with us Suzanne. You two are gorgeous.
